Established in 2009, Chef Adnan Assaf blends his passion for tradition and the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean in the classic cuisine at Rafife's.
Watching his mother fly over the handle of a mazzaluna chopping parsley for tabouli; working chickpeas and garlic by hand into hummus; molding cracked wheat shells to stuff for kibbeh; these are a few of the fond food memories that Chef Adnan came of age with growing up in his native Beirut. Lessons learned in his grandmother's Italian kitchen, and warm, welcoming ways, have left their indelible mark on Assaf who is known to mingle with his restaurant patrons, frequently offering complimentary tastes from the kitchen of a new dish that he is working on.
Chef Adnan, in concert with his wife, Angela, his son, Rabih, his daughter, Shireen, and her husband, Rabih, and nephew, Hani, all play a role in creating an authentic dining experience at Rafife's that your family will not soon forget. The look is Mediterranean casual, reminiscent of a mountain village, serving lunch, candle-lighted dinner, and also patio seating. Rafife's offers a take-out family menu.
